Traveling Men Walk Into a Police Trap

Four traveling men who were making a tour of the city walked into the arms of a squad of policemen who had just descended on the home of Annie Opplinger, on South street, near Filbert, yesterday. The raid was the first made under the charge of Colonel Hutchinson, who had received a complaint from James A. Tittler, a Newport man, that his daughter, Elsie Tittler, had been enticed away from home.

A wagonload of people were given a ride to the police station and remanded for a hearing late this afternoon.
